Five members from AiLA—including Board Members Janae, Leanne, and Celine—were thrilled to attend the inaugural Housing Forward: 2026 Prairies Affordable Housing Summit in Edmonton from May 11–14, thanks to the generous support of the Alberta Real Estate Foundation.

Hosted by the City of Edmonton, this event brought together nearly 500 leaders from across Canada, creating a powerful space for learning, collaboration, and inspiration. For our team, it was an incredible opportunity to dive deeper into affordable housing challenges and solutions while connecting with a diverse network of like-minded advocates.

We had the privilege of engaging with leaders from municipal, provincial, and federal governments, as well as funders at every level—sparking meaningful conversations and building relationships that will help shape our work moving forward.
