coming your way!
Wow, AiLA has had been busy over the fall and winter. Thanks to funding from the AimCo Foundation for Financial Education, AiLA has drafted and filmed scripts and videos about financial literacy. The video series is being developed to help autistic adults manage budgeting challenges on a low income. We are forever grateful for the support of Cheryl Pereira of Another Way Financial Therapy Services, Sarah Jean-Noel of Nutrition Health Tours, amazing volunteer Aliya Rota – Chartered Accountant, Victoria from Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta, Teresa from FreshCo – Palisades Square and most importantly the Team from SOS Media for all their hard work and support in this project.

These videos aim to create an easy to understand, easily digestible tool for autistic adults to help them navigate the complex and sometimes frustrating world of finances and budgeting. From learning sound banking skills and budgeting basics to how to come up with a saving plan and dealing with spending challenges, these videos provide bite-sized ways to manage these areas.

Mastering Your Grocery Budget
There are also a few videos highlighting how to save money at your neighbourhood grocery store and tips on how to make your food dollar stretch without compromising health and nutrition.
These videos will also showcase other tools and links to resources that take a deeper dive into each of the topics. Stay tuned for further details as we get closer to announcing our release date.
